FORECLOSURE RESISTERS: Access for All, MNN Series 2013, Segment 12 of 12

Five years after the housing-market collapse, thousands of New Yorkers are still in danger of losing their homes. But how can ordinary people deal with backlogged courts, complicated foreclosure processes – and fight back against social inequity at the same time? We are joined by Jay Kim and Karen Gargamelli, co-founders and Staff Attorneys at New York’s Common Law. Kim and Gargamelli have been working as foreclosure-prevention attorneys since 2007 and currently organize alongside a group of homeowners called the Foreclosure Resisters.
